South Key Management provides premium vacation rentals in downtown Savannah, Georgia. Focused on the historic district of Savannah, their team ensures everyone they host feels welcome and experiences classic southern hospitality. Founded in 2016, South Key has received several awards for their amazing guest hospitality.
Problems
Increasing Organic Traffic and Direct Bookings While Navigating CMS and PMS Obstacles
South Key Management Co., a premier provider of vacation rentals in downtown Savannah, Georgia, approached Magnetic Strategy with a challenge. They sought to improve organic rankings, increase website traffic, and boost direct bookings.
However, they faced hurdles with a non-SEO-optimized Webflow site and a Guesty Pro white-label booking platform that posed difficulties for accurate revenue tracking.
Due to the booking process being divided between the main website on Webflow and the bookings on Guesty Pro’s white-label booking site, they were unable to reliably track and centralize revenue data across both locations.
This was additionally problematic as they sought to increase organic traffic and direct bookings. Without a solution, they would be unable to evaluate the success of any SEO or other campaign as they expanded.
Solutions
A Customized Solution for Both Revenue Tracking and Gaining Visibility
South Key’s unique technical situation required a comprehensive solution. This started with
simplifying the complexities of revenue tracking between Webflow and Guesty Pro. To do this our team installed GA 4 properly and implemented a custom solution to seamlessly handle revenue tracking during user transitions between the two platforms.
To enhance tracking capabilities, Magnetic Strategy created and installed a subdomain for the Guesty website and a custom-coded solution, ensuring all bookings were seamlessly trackable in analytics. This created a single source of truth for tracking booking revenue.
Simultaneously, we improved organic traffic by optimizing all page titles and descriptions across the entire site, including individual property pages. This enabled them to better fit and target relevant keywords and rank higher in search engine page results.
Beyond the on-page optimization efforts, Magnetic Strategy also created original content to expand the brand’s visibility into new topics and keywords. We did this by crafting local-focused blog posts, authored by Magnetic Strategy’s team of travel writers, showcasing events and landmarks in Savannah.
The effect was a marked increase in local traffic and high-intent users looking to rent a vacation property in the city.
An additional campaign we executed was targeted landing pages. These local landing pages were developed for specific property types, such as “condos in Savannah” and “pet-friendly properties in Savannah.”
By constructing these landing pages we were able to dig deeper into the local strategy and increase search visibility for high-value categories of properties as opposed to individual listings for their entire portfolio of properties.
